As long as I can remember, I always wanted to be a doctor. Pursuing my bachelor (BDS) at Government Dental College, Mumbai was an inflection point where I found my calling. While finishing my bachelor (BDS) course, I realised how science has evolved and the need for specialised skill sets in this field because not everything can be painted with the same brush. Whether it was my personality that steered my aspirations or the other way round, Pediatric dentistry seemed natural.

Unlike other specialities in dentistry, pediatrics is different because the little ones are different. They need special care, a nuanced approach, a warm environment, a softer hand and lots of love. In my experience I have realised how some small steps and practices in the formative years of a kid’s life can have a significant impact on their overall health and not just oral health. I feel even though this was my easiest decision, it also happens to be my best. Now, when I look back, right from my childhood the dots are somehow connecting.

My post graduation in Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry (MDS) means I have specialized training in offering comprehensive dental care to infants, children and teens, including those with special health care needs. I am also well versed in behavioral techniques to make the process easy and stress-free for patients and parents.

I look forward to making the child’s dental visit a positive, fun experience, setting the stage for a lifetime of amazing oral health!
